Homewood Baseball and Softball

OPENING DAY IS SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 20, 2024!

Join to the premier baseball, softball and t-ball league  serving the south suburbs of Illinois and the northwest suburbs of Indiana! Please read through each page of the registration and the league waiver carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately and you understand our plans.  This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and complete payment.

If you are new to the league and would like a full overview of all that a Spring Season entails, including costs, please see the ABOUT US section of the website. Participants must complete a COVID-19 waiver before registration is completed.

Below is the current status of league openings/availability as of March 4, 2024:

•  T-Ball - (ages 3-5) - CLOSED
• Rookie B (age 6) - CLOSED
• Bantam B (girls age 6-8) - CLOSED
• Bantam A (girls age 9-10) - CLOSED
• Juniors (girls age 11-12) - CLOSED
• Seniors (girls age 13-18) - OPEN
• Rookie A (boys age 7-8) - CLOSED
• Ripken B (boys age 9-10) - CLOSED
• Ripken A (boys age 11-12) - CLOSED
• Babe Ruth (boys age 13-14) - CLOSED

This year, we have included the mandatory Volunteer Duty Deposit (VDD) of $75 per player into individual registration fees. This allows families to utilize a payment plan for the entire league fee. Families can earn back their VDD by volunteering to coach a team, working three shifts as an umpire or coordinating with our Concession Director to work three shifts in the concession stand. The VDD does NOT cover pre-, post- or in-season clean ups, which are also mandatory. The VDD is not charged to Babe Ruth or Seniors leagues. 

Sign up at our in-person registration in late January to begin the process of earning back your VDD. 

If you are registering more than one player in your family this season, you will receive a $30 discount on every 3rd child's registration fee.  In order for the registration system to recognize that your family is registering multiple players, please register all of your players at this time.  On the Review Page, there is a link near the bottom to "Register Another Player" - please click on this link to ensure that all of your family's players are registered within the same order.

***Failure to do so will result in a forfeiture of your family's discounted rates.***

By registering you understand and agree that the season may be cancelled at any time due to COVID-19. The league will do everything in its power to ensure that league registration fees are refundable, in the even that the season must be fully or partially canceled. Once uniforms are ordered, uniform fees will NOT be refundable. Participants understand that some portion of league fees may not be refundable, depending on when and if season is shortened or canceled. The decisions of the HBSL Board of Directors as it applies to season postponement, cancellation or registration refunds are final.
